Scoring & Tiers
Every document receives a score from 0–100. The score is calculated by checking which SEO fields are filled in, giving higher weight to the fields that matter most for search visibility.
How scoring works
The dashboard fetches every document matched by your query and checks each SEO field. Most fields are all-or-nothing — a field earns its full points when it contains a non-empty value, zero otherwise. The Keywords field is the exception: it's graded on actual placement and prominence, not just presence (see below). The total is then mapped to a health tier (Excellent, Good, Fair, Poor) to give editors an at-a-glance status.

Keyword Scoring Breakdown
The 10-point Keywords bucket rewards keywords that are actually used, not just declared. It combines two independent checks — seo.keywords and seo.focusKeyword — then applies a shared stuffing penalty.
| Condition | Points |
|---|---|
keywords array is non-empty | 2 |
| A keyword appears in the title or description | 3 |
focusKeyword is defined | 1 |
| Focus keyword at the start of the title | 4 |
| Focus keyword elsewhere in the title (not at start) | 2 |
| Focus keyword only in the description | 1 |
| Stuffing penalty — a keyword repeated too many times in title/description (applied once, floor 0) | −2 |
The focus-keyword tiers are mutually exclusive — only the best match applies. Maximum attainable is still 10, so a fully optimised document still reaches 100 overall.
Health Tiers
After calculating the raw score the dashboard maps it to one of four named tiers. These tiers appear as coloured badges next to each document in the results table.

Tips for Improving Scores
High priority
- •Fill in Meta Title for every important page. Aim for 30–60 characters with your primary keyword near the front.
- •Write a unique Meta Description for each page. 120–155 characters that describe the page and encourage clicks.
Medium priority
- •Add Open Graph title and description — they directly affect how your links appear when shared on social media.
- •Add Twitter-specific title and description if you share content on X/Twitter regularly.
Low priority
- •Set the Robots field explicitly, even if it's just the default index/follow. It signals the field is being actively managed.
