Terms of Service

The rules for using the plugin, the licence key and the Performance subscription. Written to be read once and understood, not to be impenetrable.

Last updated 13 September 2026

Who you are agreeing with

These terms are between you and Hardik Desai, an individual developer trading as the maintainer of sanity-plugin-seofields. They apply when you use this website, the hosted analytics API or the customer portal. Using any of those means you accept them.

Three different things

It is worth being precise about what is free and what is paid, because they are governed differently:

PartTerms
The open-source pluginMIT licensed, free, no account required. Use it commercially, fork it, modify it. Governed by the MIT licence in the repository, not by this document.
Licence key — one-time $20Unlocks the SEO Health Dashboard and AI features. Perpetual: what it unlocks today, it keeps unlocking, permanently.
Performance subscription — $10/month per Sanity projectHosted Search Console and GA4 analytics inside your Studio, plus scheduled email reports. Billed monthly, cancel any time.

New paid features released from here on land in the subscription rather than the licence, because they are services with a monthly running cost rather than code that ships once. Nothing is being moved out of the licence, and nothing you have already paid for changes.

The licence key

A licence key is issued to you for use on the Sanity projects you register against it. Do not publish it, resell it, or share it outside your organisation — it is a credential, not a coupon.

Agency licences cover the number of projects stated at purchase. If you need more, buy additional capacity rather than reusing one key beyond its scope.

A key found published publicly, or in use far beyond its stated scope, may be revoked. You will be contacted first wherever it is possible to reach you.

Subscription, trial and cancellation

  • The Performance subscription costs $10 per month per Sanity project and renews monthly until cancelled.
  • New subscriptions start with a 3-day free trial. A payment method is collected at signup but nothing is charged during the trial. At the end of the third day the first $10 is charged automatically unless you have cancelled.
  • Cancel any time — from Manage subscription on the Studio setup screen, Manage billing in the customer portal, or the link in your Lemon Squeezy receipt. Access continues to the end of the period you already paid for, then stops.
  • If a payment fails, access pauses while the payment is retried and resumes once it succeeds.
  • Cancelling stops future charges. It does not delete your data — ask through the contact form if you want that too.

Payments and refunds

Lemon Squeezy is the merchant of record for every purchase. They handle payment, invoicing and any sales tax or VAT. Your card details never reach this service.

If the product does not do what this site says it does, ask for a refund and you will get one. That applies to the licence key and to a subscription month you have not meaningfully used. It does not extend to buying a subscription, using it for weeks, and then asking for every month back.

The 3-day trial exists precisely so you can find out before paying. Please use it.

Acceptable use

Do not:

  • Connect Google properties you are not authorised to access.
  • Attempt to bypass entitlement checks, or resell access to the hosted analytics API.
  • Use the service to attack, overload or scrape Google's APIs through this application.
  • Subscribe recipients to email reports who have not agreed to receive them.

Accounts doing any of the above may be suspended. Where a suspension is not the result of deliberate abuse, you will be contacted first.

Things outside our control

Performance depends on Google Search Console and the GA4 Data API. Those are Google's services, with Google's quotas, outages and data delays. In particular, Search Console finalises its data a few days late, which is why every report covers the most recent complete period rather than today. That lag is Google's, not a defect here.

If Google changes or withdraws an API in a way that makes a feature impossible, the feature may have to change. If that materially reduces what you are paying for, you will be told and can cancel.

Availability

This is a small product run by one person. It is built carefully and monitored, but there is no contractual uptime guarantee and no enterprise SLA. Scheduled reports run daily at 08:00 UTC; a failed run is retried rather than silently skipped.

Warranty and liability

The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind beyond those that cannot be excluded by law. SEO metrics are reporting, not advice — decisions you make from them are yours.

To the maximum extent the law allows, total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes and termination

These terms may change. Material changes are announced on the blog and reflected in the date at the top. If a change is one you do not accept, cancel — you will not be charged again.

You can stop using the service at any time. Access may be ended if these terms are breached, with notice wherever that is possible.

Questions about any of this?

One maintainer, no ticket queue. Ask about anything here — what is stored, how to get it deleted, or what happens to your data if you cancel.
